College Football Fanatic Launches Park n Party® Online Marketplace

Tailgaters Can Reserve Parking Spaces and Tailgate Spots Before UM Football Games

ANN ARBOR, MI – Some local college football fanatics just launched a new business that offers parking lot owners and tailgaters the same benefits ticket sellers and buyers have had for years – an online marketplace. Through Park n Party® (www.parknparty.com), lot owners can make their parking spaces, tailgate spots, and other amenities available to tailgaters who want to conveniently reserve them well before the big game.

Just in time for the start of the 2011 college football season, lot owners near the University of Michigan Stadium can team up with Park n Party® and have their parking spaces and tailgate spots listed online. Lot owners take a quick liking to Park n Party® because it’s risk-free, attracts lots of fans, and makes things easier, more predictable, and more profitable for them on game day.

Park n Party® was created by a group of entrepreneurs including Jason Kapica, who in their many years of attending football games, endured the hassles of finding a place to park and tailgate and struggled to meet up with friends and family.

“In the famous 2004 game between Michigan and Michigan State that went into three overtimes, I was frustrated by trying to find a place to park and tailgate. Then, once I did, my friends ended up parking on the other side of town” said Kapica. “We knew there had to be a better way to do this.”

By visiting www.parknparty.com, lot owners can learn how to list their parking spaces, tailgate spots, and other amenities online for reservation on a game-by-game or full-season basis. Any spots that aren’t reserved prior to a game can be sold on game day.

With Park n Party® fans can reserve parking spaces, tailgate spots, and other amenities such as tents, grills, and access to indoor bathrooms well in advance of game day.

“Nobody has ever put together a service like ours, and we’re confident the idea will catch on like wildfire,” said Kapica. “We expect to be all over the country in the near future.”

Park n Party® is using Ann Arbor as a launching pad and expects to add more college campuses and other cities soon afterwards. Targets for expansion include Detroit and East Lansing, MI, Columbus, OH, Madison, WI, and the rest of the Big 10 Conference. Park n Party® is not just about football. Once a lot owner joins, they can list parking spaces, tailgate spots, and amenities for any event.
