The Rick For Michigan campaign today released the updated membership list of its Finance Committee. With the campaign gearing up for a fundraising surge before the August 3rd primary, Rick Snyder released the following statement:
"I am proud to have the support of Michigan job creators, innovators and community leaders. The quality of leadership that comprises our Finance Committee speaks volumes about the importance of this election and our Reinvent Michigan message," said Rick Snyder. "The enthusiasm of our Finance Committee members and the voters of Michigan demonstrates the desire for new leadership in Lansing and common sense solutions to the serious challenges we’re facing. As we head towards the final sprint in the primary, our entire Reinvent Michigan team is working tirelessly to ensure that we capitalize on this opportunity to transform our state."
Members of the Finance Committee also had the following things to say about Rick and the effort to Reinvent Michigan:
"Rick is the only proven job creator in the race and is the most qualified candidate in the race to address our economic and political challenges," said Sam Cummings. "As we all know, the issue that trumps all others for this election is the Michigan economy and jobs. We need someone who has the experience and capacity to understand what it takes to attract job-creators and redefine Michigan as a state with tremendous opportunity. Rick has spent his career doing just this: creating jobs. His experience managing the growth of Gateway, growing start-ups and being a catalyst for economic development clearly defines him as the only one in the field with the qualifications that we need to foster real change and reinvent Michigan. Simply stated, Rick is the man for the job."
"Michigan has all the raw materials to be a top-ten state in terms of job creation and economic growth. Rick Snyder has the know-how to re-craft state government so we can harness our full potential – and he comes with fresh views, no ties to the past, a proven track record, and a passion for Michigan’s well-being. I am proud to support Rick because he is the best qualified to lead us all to a great future and strong economy," said Bill Parfet.
"Michigan has tried career politicians with little show for it. Michigan needs the next governor to be focused on generating results, enacting reforms, improving government efficiency and making our state a place where companies want to do business. Rick is exactly the right candidate to accomplish this," said Evan Weiner. "His bold ideas, lack of ties to special interests and background as a problem-solver make him the ideal candidate for putting Michiganders back to work."
"I’m proud to work hard on Rick and the entire Reinvent Michigan team’s behalf. We need someone to shake up the status quo in Lansing and deliver results," said Joe Fitzsimmons. "Rick has provided the right vision for the future of our state as we reach a serious crossroads. Over the next 50 days, voters will learn more about Rick and discover he’s the best candidate to transform government and lead Michigan towards a stronger economy."
