ANN ARBOR, Mich.—Andrew Richner was elected as the next chairman of the University of Michigan Board of Regents.
Richner, a Republican from Grosse Pointe Park and currently the vice chairman, will serve the one-year term beginning July 1. He was elected to the board in 2002. Richner is a partner in the law Clark Hill PLC.
Julia Donovan Darlow, a Democrat from Ann Arbor, was elected vice chair. She was elected to the board in 2006. The regents selected Richner and Darlow at their meeting June 18.
